Meeting 22/01 Outcomes and Progress Update

During our recent meeting, I provided Mehnaz with an overview of my progress to date. I am pleased to report that she expressed satisfaction with the advancements made and confirmed that I am on the right track. While acknowledging the positive direction, Mehnaz suggested a few minor adjustments. Specifically, she recommended incorporating additional testing phases into my Gantt chart. This adjustment is essential as it ensures comprehensive testing of the model to guarantee its efficiency.

Concerning my literature review, Mehnaz advised me to include information on how companies have optimized their production lines for efficiency. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of citing relevant works that have contributed to this area. Furthermore, she suggested justifying the use of plant simulation in this particular case. As a result, I have dedicated my efforts to working on these aspects, along with installing plant simulation software.

As part of this ongoing process, below is my initial model within plantsim:

I added different work stations and connected them with a conveyor. After that I added a source to source out the workpieces and a drain that will collect the workpieces at the end of the process.
